Sarah McAvoy
Sarah McAvoy graduated magna cum laude from Villanova University in 2022, where she earned her B.A. in political science and peace and justice and minored in communication and public service and administration. During her time at Villanova, Sarah was an active member of the Villanova Student Government Association, serving as chief of staff during her senior year. In this role, Sarah worked directly with the student body regarding their ideas and concerns about the campus climate and with college administrators, sparking her passion for students rights to free speech and expression on campus.
Sarah has a background in research and community outreach at nonprofits in Philadelphia, having worked as a research intern at the American Friends Service Committee and as an employment team intern at the Nationalities Service Center of Philadelphia.
As a Philly resident originally from New Jersey, Sarah spends her time outside of work with family at the Jersey shore and exploring new places in Philly.
